At Stelrad, we have a huge range of radiators’ colours, styles, and sizes you can browse through. Whether you are looking for a compact or statement radiator to heat up the different size rooms in your home, we have you covered here at Stelrad. The size of the radiator you should go for will depend on the size of your bathroom, children’s rooms, home office, or any rooms that need new heating. Bear the obvious in mind, the larger radiators will emit heat into big rooms, and smaller radiators will be enough to heat up rooms with less space. Browse our 500 x 2000 radiators options and find something ideal to keep your home warm throughout the colder seasons. All our radiators come with a warranty.

ARE 500 x 2000 SINGLE RADIATORS EFFICIENT?

Single K1 radiators are the most popular basic size families and couples go for. A 500 x 2000 single radiator fits neatly under a window, in the corner of a room, behind a sofa or practically anywhere you’d like to install it. In most family homes, the smallest rooms tend to be children’s rooms, a home office or a bathroom, the perfect spaces for our 500 x 2000 single radiators.  Some customers can go for a combination of single radiators and double radiators for the rooms in their houses, as the space around the house will vary.

500 x 2000 RADIATOR FAQs

Will a type 22 radiator 500 x 2000 size keep my room warm enough?

Open Close

It will depend on the size of the room you are putting the 500 x 2000 radiator in but usually, type 22 radiator 500 x 200 sizes will emit enough warmth to keep small and medium rooms heated. Many customers do end up going for double radiators due to their extra panels and convection fins that provide a larger surface area and as a result, provide a larger heat output. Use the STAR system to work out exactly how much heat a certain room will need.

How is it possible to calculate the heating requirements for a room in my home?

Open Close

Our STAR system is the best way to work this out if you want to do the maths. Working out the complex calculation is worth it to get your radiator size right. The Stelrad STAR (Stelrad Technical Advanced Radiator System) heat loss calculator is a simple way to ensure you get the right size radiators for the rooms in your home. The fabric heat loss and ventilation heat loss are calculated to establish the output and the size required. At Stelrad, we measure the output in Btu/hr, British Thermal Unit per hour, the standard measurement used for the output of any heated device. Heat output can also be measured in watts and 1 watt is equal to 3.412 Bt/hr.

Do 500 x 2000 radiators fit neatly in most rooms around the house?

Open Close

You won’t know if the radiator will fit your room unless you measure your space or have a radiator of the same size. Using a tape measure is the most accurate way to find out! Only place your online order when you are 100% sure of the exact size you want to go for and you know it will fit in your room. At Stelrad, we have a variety of sizes so you will find something to suit the rooms in your home without a doubt. If you have measured a current radiator, take into consideration different styles of radiators that could be slightly different sizes, such as column radiators that have pipes on the show that might stick out more than panel radiators.
