Proof that radiators can be part of the decor

If there was any doubt that modern designer radiators can be a positive force in the décor of a modern home, then the latest use of the Stelrad Concord radiator models in Hamels Mansion in Buntingford in the Hertfordshire countryside, just 45 minutes from London –  dispels it for good!

Distinction Homes’ regeneration of this luxurious Country Estate in Hertfordshire offers a selection of ten one and two-bedroom luxury apartments. Set around acres of beautiful landscaped gardens with views across the Hertfordshire countryside, and a stunning golf course, these homes benefit from an amazing location, but the ‘amazing’ simply multiplies when you enter the show apartment on the ground floor of this exceptional building.

The ten luxury apartments benefit from more than forty Stelrad Concord vertical radiators and the communal areas benefit from a number of Stelrad Classic Column radiators, that are totally in keeping with the architecture. The main contractor on the development is TJ Evers Limited from Colchester and the heating contractor responsible for installing the radiators is Ely based M Rogerson Ltd.

The Concord radiator is available in four stylish design options and in horizontal and vertical models from a Lo-Line version which is just 144mm high to vertical models 2 metres in height which are the choice of the developers at Hamels Mansion. They have a five-year warranty and are available in a selection of 35 colours if required, with up to eight weeks lead time.

Mark Elliott from Distinction Homes says that the Concord radiators were perfect for this development: “We needed a way to heat the homes we were creating that blended in with the high class finishes we have employed throughout the apartments, yet one which stood out as quite clearly a contributor to the décor, rather than simply a functional provider of heat. The Concord caught our eye and certainly looks stunning in-situ. The building was originally built in 1580, rebuilt in its current form in 1834 and it’s a Grade 2 listed building, so it was vital we had components of the design that complimented the overall look and feel of the properties we had designed.”

Stelrad’s Head of Marketing is Chris Harvey: “It’s great when we see our products incorporated in developments of this quality. It really does prove that radiators are more than just heat emitters and with the clever use of design throughout these apartments, its clear to see that the Concord radiators have been incorporated in the overall design the developer was looking for. It’s an excellent example of how to use the designer options we offer in any and every style of home.”
