Replacing a single radiator – becoming more commonplace!

When Steve Marshall decided to move his office back home, the dining room was the obvious room to transform into a place of work. It had been pretty cramped as a result of all the furniture and was fairly dark because the small window in the room and heavy curtains meant the light struggled to make it into the house from outdoors.

To make it a nicer working environment the window was replaced by French Doors opening to the garden and as part of this, the standard steel panel radiator that had always been located under the window had to go. Rather than replace it with a similar radiator elsewhere in the room, he decided to have a vertical designer radiator installed alongside the window and selected a Stelrad Vistaline tubular radiator which has instantly become a feature in the newly designed and decorated room.

“It’s the first thing everyone who has been in the newly decorated room has noticed,” he says. “It’s added a touch of class to a room that is now airy and light thanks to the new windows and its performance is excellent, providing more than enough heat to keep me warm throughout the winter in what will become my office very shortly. So much more than just a heating appliance, it’s a focal point for the room and we’re actually considering replacing two other radiators in the house – one in the kitchen and one in the entrance hallway with similar designer radiators, to make the place look loved and cared for! I’d strongly recommend taking a closer look at your home and seeing whether you can upgrade the whole feel of the place with the addition of a designer or decorative radiator to replace standard panel radiators.”
