Seaton Town FC – a local football club on the south Devon coast – that plays its football in the Stitch to Print Division 2 of the Devon & Exeter Football League – has recently seen a major upgrade in its club house facilities with improvements to the heating system that makes it far more welcoming both on match days and for lunchtimes and evenings during the week when it is the hub for supporters and locals who live close to the ground in the centre of the town.
When it was looking to make the investment in the club house it sent out requests for any support that might be available to it and one response came from leading radiator manufacturer Stelrad Radiators – which offered to supply the three radiators needed to share the heat from the new boiler around the clubhouse and make it a far more cosy venue for match days and days when it was in use either as a bar or for events.
Club chairman Steven Hayes, runs Hayes Gas Servicing in the area and made enquiries via his local plumbers merchants for companies that might be willing to help the club with its clubhouse upgrade. The regional brand specialist for Stelrad heard about the requirement and managed to persuade Stelrad to supply the three best selling Compact radiators for the job: “We were really grateful to Stelrad for the help they gave us,” said Steve Hayes. “When you’re running a small club like ours, any support we can get is really helpful and the donation of the three radiators was a real help to us. Users of the club house are already commenting on the significant improvement in the comfort levels we are experiencing as a result of the better heating system we have in the clubhouse now.”
“We were happy to help out when we were asked if we could donate some radiators for the project,” says Stelrad’s Head of Marketing Chris Harvey. “As a company we provide more than two million radiators to projects across the UK each year and these three will provide the warmth they need in Devon to make supporting Seaton FC a little bit more comfortable!”
