Social & Charity

Stelrad formed the Charity and Social Forum back in 2011.  One national and one regional charity were chosen to raise funds for.

Stelrad employees chose the Children Cancer Research UK as the national charity and so far, raised over £11,000.

Bluebell Wood Children’s hospice is the regional charity chosen and offers care and support to children with a shortened life expectancy, both in their own homes and at the hospice in Sheffield.  To date Stelrad has raised over £27,000 and the funds keep going up!

So far, Stelrad has raised over £55,000 for charity and continues to increase its efforts each year with raffles, cake sales, bonanzas and sponsored events, such as football matches, walks, runs, etc…

The forum also invests in projects, events and sponsorship throughout the local community.  A few additional areas we’ve shown our support:

  • Sponsorship of Mexborough Rangers and gifted them the football pitch
  • Sponsorship of the Montagu Cup (helping to support the local hospital)
  • Donation of radiators to a local homeless shelter
  • Radiator donation to a local college for the plumbing students
  • Attending career days and local schools
  • Apprenticeships offered across a broad spectrum of the business
  • Work experience programmes for long term unemployed
  • TRAX FM’s toy appeal
  • Donating PPE equipment to local care homes

The aim is to make a real difference to the lives of our workforce and the neighbourhoods they live in. Which includes working closely with local charities, social enterprises and educational establishments for youth training and improving employability.
