For almost 90 years, Stelrad has been at the heart of UK heating innovation, supplying radiators that combine performance, reliability, and design excellence. The Mexborough site remains the company’s manufacturing hub for selected models, representing the brand’s continued investment in British engineering.

A Rich Heritage in British Manufacturing

Founded in 1936, we began by manufacturing steel column radiators from a purpose-built factory in Southall, West London. From those early days, the company has continued to evolve, growing from a pioneering UK manufacturer into a respected international brand known for performance, quality, and innovation.

Today, our Mexborough site remains at the heart of UK operations, managing production and distribution across an impressive 17-acre facility. This South Yorkshire hub represents both the company’s manufacturing strength and its enduring connection to British engineering excellence.

While not every product in the Stelrad range is UK-made, the company proudly produces selected models on-site in Mexborough, maintaining close control over quality, craftsmanship, and consistency.

Supporting British Manufacturing, With Global Reach

As the heating industry has advanced, so too has our operational network. The company now operates from major facilities in Nuth in the Netherlands and Mexborough in South Yorkshire, ensuring efficient production and delivery across Europe.

The Mexborough facility serves as the home of Stelrad’s UK radiators business, coordinating sophisticated manufacturing and logistics processes designed to meet national demand quickly and reliably.

We also invest heavily in research and development facilities in Belgium, where innovation and product testing continue to shape the future of heating technology. This combination of British manufacturing excellence and European innovation ensures Stelrad remains at the forefront of radiator design, performance, and sustainability.

The Stelrad Group plc have also acquired Hudevad a designer radiator manufacturer based in Denmark and Italian radiator producer, Radiator spA who manufacture the Electric Series.
