Christmas may not have arrived yet, but already local children’s hospice and Stelrad supported charity Bluebell Wood is putting in place its successful Christmas Tree Recycling scheme – a major source of funds for the charity each year!
Stelrad has traditionally given its support to Bluebell Wood providing a truck and a driver to make collections in January. The scheme works by local people registering for their Christmas tree to be collected after Christmas festivities have finished – by paying a small donation – a minimum of fifteen pounds per collection – with the funds going to help the hospice keep operating and providing help for local children who have life threatening illnesses and their families.
It’s a sustainable, convenient and reliable service for local people and you can book your collection now by heading for www.bluebellwood.org. The charity has teamed up with E.ON and A&A Recycling to guarantee that 100% of your Christmas tree is put to good use. Trees can be collected from Barnsley, Chesterfield, Doncaster, Retford, Rotherham, Sheffield, Worksop and North Notts.
At the end of the Christmas festivities simply leave your tree outside and the recycling team will swing by and collect it between the 12th and 23rd January. They cannot collect trees over eight feet tall or artificial trees – and they ask that all decorations are removed before the tree is put out for collection. To confirm, the minimum donation per tree is £15 but many people last year made a larger donation to recognise the excellent work BluebellWood does for local people.
