Leading radiator manufacturer Stelrad has joined the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineers. Stelrad joins as one of more than 150 Industrial Associates which includes manufacturers, merchants, consultants, educational bodies and private training providers, Local Authorities, fuel suppliers, water companies and professional and industry associations that support the work of the CIPHE.
The CIPHE is heavily involved across the industry and in representing it on a wider front in particular with Government. It liaises with Government on a number of subjects affecting the plumbing and heating industry and consumers. Key issues the CIPHE is campaigning on include:
Public health – including scalding and legionella, water and fuel poverty, increased support for the industry to help attain the Government’s net zero aims, apprenticeships and education, including increased support for SMEs, greater enforcement of regulations and the introduction of a licence for installers who install Stelrad’s products, to practise.
One of the benefits of CIPHE membership is that together with other companies and organisations in the heating and plumbing sector, the CIPHE can help get individual members voices heard by Government and the industry on several wide ranging professionally relevant issues.
Stelrad hopes in the future to work with the CIPHE to offer technical webinars and events, and to contribute to technical guidance and resources for members of the plumbing and heating industry.
CIPHE Membership Director, Tim Sainty, said: “We are delighted to welcome Stelrad Radiators into membership and are grateful for their support. I am very confident that our two organisations will be able to work together for the benefit of the wider plumbing and heating industry and its customers during what is, undoubtedly, a period of exciting developments.”
Head of Marketing at Stelrad – Chris Harvey – added membership of the CIPHE is a key part of the company’s plans for the future: “We have always believed in the benefit of membership of relevant organisations to share views and to benefit from collaborations that further our causes and improve standards across our industry. We’re looking forward to getting involved with the CIPHE and to sharing the opportunities available to us from our membership in the months and years ahead.”
