Stelrad’s Electric Towel Radiators

An electric towel rail radiator lets you warm your towels at the flick of a switch. We love the convenience of a vertical electric radiator but, at Stelrad, we know you like to keep an eye on your energy bills. That’s why all our electric heated towel rails are dual fuel towel radiators. This gives you a high-performance towel rail with the flexibility of both worlds.

As experts in radiators of all sizes and styles, we want to provide you with the best bathroom radiator possible. Though you can buy electric only towel rails for bathrooms, we only stock dual fuel heated towel rails. This is because a purely electric towel radiator is very expensive to run. With energy use and costs a priority for most of us, dual fuel heated towel rails are the best solution.

To create your own designer electric towel rail, simply add our electric towel rail element to one of our dual fuel compatible towel radiators: the Classic Towel Rail, the Slimline Towel Rail, the Concord Rail, and the Caliente Towel Rail, and are all suitable for use with our electric element.

The result is a vertical electric radiator which saves space, warms your towels, and keeps your bathroom toasty warm. Bliss!

You’ll find a choice of chrome, for those of you who prefer a traditional electric towel rail, or coloured radiators for an electric towel radiator that will make a real statement in a modern bathroom.

The Classic and Slimline are both chrome vertical electric radiators with traditional style. Their chrome construction is perfect for matching your chrome taps, shower, and other fittings.

The Caliente and the Concord are superb tall electric radiators which will hold the whole family’s towels happily. Both available in an array of colours,

If you do convert your towel radiator to electric, choose a dual fuel radiator element that has a lower wattage than the towel radiator. The result will be a dual fuel, designer electric towel rail ideal for flexible year-round use.

Using Your Electric Heated Towel Rail

During cooler months when your central heating is on, you can leave the electric towel rail element of your dual fuel towel radiator off. Your towels will be kept warm by the hot water already flowing through your heating system.

In the summer, having warm towels is still a welcome luxury. However, rather than turning on your whole heating system for just one radiator, flick a switch to turn on the electric towel rail radiator element for as long as you need it.

Now, that’s superb flexibility.

ELECTRIC TOWEL RAILS FAQs

Can an Electric Towel Rail Heat My Bathroom?

Yes! An electric towel rail will heat a bathroom. As part of a dual fuel heated towel rail, whether using the electric element or the central heating, a towel rail can heat a bathroom. Even a small electric heated towel rail will heat an ensuite or small bathroom.

To make sure you choose an electric heated towel rail capable of heating your bathroom, use our Heat Loss Calculator. This will calculate the size of your bathroom, the wall construction, and the window space to suggest radiators suitable for heating your bathroom.

Do Electric Towel Rails Need Bleeding?

An electric only towel rail does not need bleeding. However, the dual fuel radiator towel rails which we supply do need bleeding. Like any standard radiator in your home, the dual fuel towel radiator’s bleed valve can be opened by a standard radiator key.

You should bleed your radiators at least once a year and at any time when the top remains cool even though the bottom heats up and the heating is on. This is a sign that air is trapped in the radiator and needs releasing.
