Panel Radiators UK – The Perfect Panel Range For Your Home

Panel radiators are a must-have for your home with most modern room designs across the UK taking advantage of flat panel horizontal radiators thanks to their efficiency and easy installation. A flat panel radiator is an excellent way to keep your house warm any time of year, no matter the shape or size of your room. We have flat panel radiators within our Designer Series, such as the Planar Horizontal Radiator, which provide a simple yet effective way of maintaining heat in your home, without being overly imposing in the room. Available in a huge selection of different sizes, you can find flat radiators that are based on your own unique preferences and room size, making it simple to find the right choice for your bedroom, lounge, or any other living space.

As well as single panel, there are plenty of double panel radiators to consider, such as the Stelrad Elite that offers a classic look, integrating high-quality EPDM ‘O’ rings, high-definition pressings for smooth, safety edges and corners, as well as the perfect, two-coat paint finish, ensuring the coating never runs or wears. Our flat panel radiators in the UK offer classic styles that can merge with whatever décor you decide to choose, so you’ll always find the right match.

Connected to your central heating system, you’ll also find our partially electric panel radiators are some of the best on the market. Flat panel electric radiators operate by transferring heat into the air, just as any other panel radiator would but provide the option to use without your central heating, ideal during warmer seasons when you need to heat an individual room on a chilly morning or evening.

Most of our flat panel radiators are available in a wide variety of shades too, offering a colourful splash to your room of choice if you prefer. You can also choose to keep it monotonal and minimalistic – it’s your choice! While looking this good, they also provide heating to your room that is always optimal, and you can use our radiator size search to ensure you have the right size based on your room dimensions. From designer radiators with flat panels, to lined front panel radiators that provide a twist on the classic panel design, you’ll find it all here at Stelrad ready to order.

Different Types of Panel Radiator

You’ll see that many of our flat panel horizontal radiators are available as either a K1, K2, K3, P1, or P+ model. The number within these models simply refers to the number of panels within the radiator and the number of connection fins. The more panels and fins, the higher the heat output, so you’ll want to consider which type of flat radiators is the best option for your room before purchasing.

A K1 (Type 11) option is a single panel radiator with 1 set of convection fins, whereas a K2, also known as Type 22 radiators, is a double panel radiator with 2 sets of convection fins. You’ll also find K3 (Type 33) which is a 3-panel radiator with 3 sets of convection fins. Don’t worry if you aren’t sure which type to choose as by using our BTU calculator you can work out which heat output is best for the room you’re looking to install in.

The “P” models are slightly different – the P1 is a single panel radiator with no convection fins at all, whereas the P+ is a double panel radiator with 1 set of convection fins, also known as Type 21 radiators. Whatever your requirements may be, our options are so broad that we are certain you’ll find the correct flat panel radiator, or flat panel electric radiator, for you.

Flat Panel Radiators – Flat In Stature, Full In Function

Flat panel radiators are ingeniously designed to be flat in stature but full in function. Their unobtrusive, space-saving profile makes them the ideal choice for any room, providing efficient heat without taking up valuable space. Whether you’re looking to heat a compact space or add warmth to a large living area, our flat panel radiators are up to the task. With their minimalist, contemporary appearance, they seamlessly blend into any décor, one of the reasons why they continue to be a great choice for homes across the UK.

Don’t compromise on style or performance – you can choose both with our flat panel radiators for a perfect combination. Remember, you don’t just have to settle with horizontal styles when it comes to panel radiators in the UK, as we have plenty of vertical radiators that can make the most of the wall space. Options like the vertical line vertical radiators in our Home series provide plenty of height, measuring 1800mm and are a double panel flat radiator that are great when you’re short on horizontal space. Whatever you need, you’ll find it here at Stelrad.

Column vs Panel Radiators

When it comes to selecting the right flat panel radiator for your space, the choice between Column Radiators and panel radiators can be a pivotal one. Both options have their own set of advantages and limitations, so understanding them is essential to make an informed decision.

Column radiators exude timeless elegance, making them a statement piece in any room. They heat up and stay warm long after the heating system is turned off. They are also excellent for rooms with high ceilings, efficiently distributing heat. However, their bulkier design may take up more wall space, which can be a concern in smaller rooms. They may also take longer to reach the desired temperature compared to panel radiators.

Flat and compact, panel radiators are perfect for rooms where space is at a premium. They reach the desired temperature faster, providing quicker warmth when compared to column radiators and also offer a contemporary look that complements various interior styles. They may cool down more quickly once the heating system is turned off compared to column models, but this will depend on your specific needs. If you like a more minimalist appearance, flat panel radiators are ideal, whereas if you prefer a more vintage style, you may prefer column radiators. Both are great options, but you should consider the needs of the room and make an informed choice before purchasing.
